Ground School

Northern Air runs at least one Ground School course per year, starting in January. If there is enough interest, we will run a second course beginning in August.

If you are looking to get your Pilot’s License, Northern Air Private Pilot Ground School is a great place to start. Give us a call to learn what options are available for you!

Private Pilot Ground School

Course Details:

  • Instructors: AGI Katherine Boger, CFII Dave Parker, CFII Rick Durden, CFII Scott Mace
  • Materials: Northern Air Private Pilot Ground School Kit, Only $220+tax click for more info
  • Schedule: Tuesday Nights, Jan 7 thru April 21, 5:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Cost: Only $299.00 for the full 16-week course
    • Alternatively, you can attend certain days only for $25.00 each
  • Location: Boundary County Airport Terminal

Northern Air Private Pilot Ground School is designed to prepare students for the FAA Written Knowledge Exam and the Private Pilot Oral Check-ride. For best results, we recommend at least 6-8 hours of study time per week outside of the classroom.

Instrument Ground School

Course Details:

  • Instructor: CFII Scott Mace
  • Materials: None – just an iPad/Tablet or Laptop
  • Schedule: Thursday Nights, Jan 9 thru Apr 23, 5:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Cost: Only $299.00 for the full 16-week course 
    • Alternatively, you can attend certain days only for $25.00 each
  • Location: Boundary County Airport Terminal

Like with Private Ground School, Northern Air Instrument Ground School is designed to prepare students for the FAA Written Knowledge Exam and the Instrument Oral Check-ride. For best results, we recommend at least 6-8 hours of study time per week outside of the classroom.
