Our beautiful landscape offers many options for our customizable scenic flights! If you live local, we are happy to fly over and help you find your house out the window of the aircraft.
North of the runway, along the western slopes of the Purcell Mountains we can fly over the Smith, Dawson, and Brush Lakes. Overflying the Kootenai River valley above the lush hop fields and the beautiful oxbows of the River allows for great pictures to be taken of the surrounding scenery. There are options to climb up into the Selkirk Mountains, which abound with high mountain lakes that are tucked into graceful cirque basins, having been scoured out by long past glaciers. Other landmarks along the Selkirks include: Roman Nose, the Pack River, and Chimney Rock where you’ll see some breathtakingly sharp knife ridges. This area also provides a good view of Priest Lake to the west.
We can also fly over the Kootenai Wildlife Refuge and up Myrtle Creek, or south and, cross the valley north of Sandpoint near Schweitzer Ski area and get a good view of the north end of Lake Pend Oreille enroute to the Scotchman Peaks Wilderness area. We can wind through the beautiful craggy peaks of the Scotchmans, passing Bull Lake and descending through the historic mining area of Boulder Creek. Or over the many spectacular lakes, and around glaciers to the southern end of the Cabinets.
